Astra Privacy Policy
Astra is a Fire TV media client for Jellyfin and similar self-hosted media servers. This policy describes what information Astra stores and how it is used.
What Astra stores
When you connect Astra to a media server, Astra saves the following information locally on your Fire TV device only:
- Server URL
- Username and user ID
- Access token (used to authenticate you to your server)
- App preferences and playback settings
This information is used only to connect to the server you choose and to provide browsing and playback features within the app.
What Astra does not do
- Astra does not operate a hosted backend service.
- Astra does not transmit your personal data to the developer or to any third party.
- Astra does not include advertising or third-party analytics or tracking.
- Astra does not sell or share your data with anyone.
All media metadata, artwork, playback URLs, and playback progress are exchanged directly between the Astra app on your device and the media server you configure. Astra's developer has no access to this information.
Removing your data
You can remove saved server profiles and clear stored access tokens at any time from within Astra: Settings > Login > Manage servers. Deleting your actual media-server account or library must be done through your server's administrator, outside of Astra.
